Brown Velvet Chinchilla

Brown Velvets are Hetero Beiges with the ToV gene. They are sometimes born with veiling which may take up to 2 years to develop. Babies are most often born with darker brown points and paw stripes, but over the years I have seen a few cases of them not following the rules. Bellies and the underside of the jaw should be pure white and there should be no break in the veil from nose to tail. Brown velvet chinchillas in general are one of the more uncommon colors to see and a nice one is a rare sight indeed. Not many people breed for them.
